International Psychology University (IPU) degrees, Masters and PhD Programs are accredited European Distance and E-learning Network (EDEN), European Foundation for Quality in e-Learning (EFQUEL), the International Society for Psychotherapy, Counseling and Psychiatry, the Malaysian Association for Psychotherapy and the Malaysian Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Association. The use of Information and communications technology in IPU has been assessed and validated by the European Commission’s HEXTLEARN Peer Review and Study. IPU is a member of international educational organizations such as European Distance and E-learning Network (EDEN), European Foundation for Quality in e-Learning (EFQUEL). Our academic programs have been peer reviewed by HEXTLEARN, a project funded with support of the Lifelong Learning Program of the European Commission. Transcripts of graduates are recommended to be assessed by the World Council for Psychotherapy and confered a diploma by WCP upon successful assessment.
The standard duration of Diploma programme is two years or 180 ECTS credits, Bachelor is three years or ECTS credits, Masters degree is two years or 189 ECT credits and PhD program is two years or 189 ECT credits. However, students with advanced standing and research may study at their own pace. It is geared towards the requirements of applicable law and to IPU examination regulations. The standard duration of the extra occupational PhD programme of three years applies to candidates with 300 ECTS credits as entry requirement. Other possible entry requirements will be reviewed during the admission process. The advanced duration of the extra occupational PhD programme of two years can apply to candidates with 360 ECTS credits as entry requirement. However, this does not affect the tuitions to be paid for the complete programme. The programme can be started individually at any time throughout the year. The programme is conducted in English. The bachelor, Masters and doctoral thesis are also to be completed in English. The thesis supervisor is appointed by IPU from its faculty.
During the course of the programme the participant takes part in research methodology modules and the thesis project. ECTS points are acquired in these modules. ECTS points are acquired in the thesis project. The modules and thesis supervision are implemented by IPU professors.
